Day 3: Back To Lisbon
Cross-off your bucket list in Lisbon with another free day. Wake up relaxed and explore the city at your leisure — or stay in and indulge in each other’s love. End the day with your dinner reservation at Casa De Linhares, a traditional Portuguese Fado restaurant.
Day 4: Vacation In The Algarve
Drive down to the Algarve for a taste of life in the south of Portugal. Visit the historical towns in the region, sampling culturally unique gastronomy and wine along the way. Spend the night in the Algarve for the next two nights.
Day 5: Taste Of The Coast
Start your day at the coast with a visit to the beach, where you will finally feel Portuguese sand under your toes. From there either take a boat ride to explore the shoreline, take a scenic hike through the Algarve, or adventure through the mystical Benagil caves.
Afterwards, return to your hotel to relax and enjoy the various amenities offered.
Day 6: Welcome To Wine Country
Head off to the Alentejo region of Portugal to visit the wine estate of the Casa Santa Vitória. Explore the vineyards, go wine tasting, the sit back and relax at your premier hotel spa.
Day 7: Alentejo
Take another free day in the Herdade da Malhadinha Nova to soak in the natural beauty of the Alentejo. Tour the wine estate, sample more wine, enjoy a gourmet picnic, take a hot air balloon ride; the options are endless. If you’re still recovering from the previous days activities, take this time to relax and lounge around your hotel, where there are several VIP amenities to enjoy.
Day 8: Coimbra & Evora
Leave Alentejo and drive to Evora, a city of history and old culture. Visit the morbidly breathtaking Chapel Of Bones (if you have the stomach for it!); then head to Coimbra to explore the museums, visit the Covenant of the Christ, then get a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants in the area. Spend the night in Coimbra’s Quinta Das Lagrimas.
Day 9: Welcome To Lamego
Begin your journey to the fertile plains of the Douro Valley, but first, make a pit stop at Lamego. While there, visit the majestic cathedrals and castles, take walk along the Garden of the Republic, and catch an eyeful of the vista point of São Domingos. End the day by checking into Six Senses at Douro Valley for the next two nights.
Day 10: Wine Tasting In The Douro Valley
Known throughout the world for the fertile vineyards supplying the globe with Portugal’s famous vinho verde and port wine, the Douro Valley is the place to be for wine connoisseurs. Walk around the estate and sample wines, then tour several vineyards for a taste of port wine. Afterwards, go on a cruise through the Douro River to soak in the elegance of the country.
Day 11: Glide Into Guimarães
On your way to Porto, take a day trip and explore the ancient city of Guimarães. Considered the birthplace of Portugal, there is too much culture to be absorbed in a single day, so you will have to pick and choose between activities to do.
Take a cable car up to Penha Park, where you can catch a view of the whole city; explore the various battle-worn castles that were used to fend off the Moorish and Norman attacks, and visit the old world city center for shifting architecture throughout the centuries and a nice lunch.
End the day by arriving at the Yeatman in Porto, where you will stay for two nights.
Day 12: Tour Porto
Spend the day exploring Porto with a private VIP tour; ferried by a personal driver and tour guide, you will sample port wine, glimpse beautiful vistas, go sight-seeing, and play tourist. Afterwards, get a bite to eat at a local restaurant (we recommend seafood) and head back to the Yeatman.
Day 13: Adventure In Óbidos
Drive down to the medieval town of Óbidos, where you can walk along the castle walls and look over the green meadows. Start your day with a sangria brunch among the castle walls, then leisure around the town with your partner among colorful houses and hand-painted roads.
Take a late lunch in the Medieval Market, where the castle walls provide scenery among the surrounding forests. After, drive down to Torres Vedras for your last night at the luxurious Areias do Seixo.
Day 14: New Day, New Beginnings
Wake one final morning in a not-so-foreign land, where you have journeyed through for two weeks exploring the diverse culture of a storied country.
It’s time to go home, but you have everything to look forward to after spending your honeymoon together building unforgettable memories. Your partnership has been forged, and we wish you all the best in your new life together.
